The Importance of Vitamin D
There are many different approaches that people can take to help minimize the impact of MS on their daily lives and functioning. These include:
- Regular moderate aerobic exercise
- Adequate amounts of sleep
- A well-balanced diet
- Pharmacotherapy
Everyone, whether or not they have MS*, should have a diet that includes a good balance of nutrients (vitamins and minerals) and a healthy balance of fats, carbohydrates and proteins.
This may be particularly important to people with MS, as research has shown that vitamin D deficiency is linked to the emergence of the disease.
